Edgewater Equine Clinic is now offering portable endoscopy and gastroscopy!!!! Are you concerned your horse may have gastric ulcers? Do they grind their teeth? Are they stressed? Have you been to a show lately? Has your horse moved to a new home recently? Do they have a poor hair coat? Weight loss? Recurrent colic signs? These are all causes and symptoms of equine gastric ulcer syndrome (EGUS). Gastroscopy is a procedure where a thin fiber optic scope is passed into your horses stomsch to allow the veterinarian to visually assess the inside of the esophagus and stomach. This procedure is the only way EGUS can be definitively diagnosed in the horse. Edgewater Equine Clinic is proud to be one of the few clinics to offer mobile gastroscopy in Central Coastal California. Scoping can be done right at your barn or stable and a diagnosis can be made on the spot! Please give us a call today if you are interested in setting up an evaluation. |
